Democracy in 2020
Focusing our content on democracy is a direct response to listening to all of your voices. You’ve made it clear that our community cares about the direction of our country, electoral politics, and how to get involved in voter activation. And we’re committed to creating opportunities unique for you to plug in.
Given the upcoming presidential election in November, combined with COVID-19 impacting our daily lives in every way, we remain committed to educating ourselves and coming together for action — including on panels like our recent Wake Up Wired, where we highlighted the work of When We All Vote and Chicago Votes, and through deep partnerships with organizations like Vote.org.
Coming up in the next few weeks:
Opportunities to volunteer in ways big and small as part of the Vote.org team
Content around voter activation days, in the run up to National Voter Registration Day
Opportunities to use your brain power to help those creating the programming for the Democratic National Convention — the first one that will have to be a hybrid of in-person and digital
And there’s more where that came from. We’re always excited when the 18 Coffees community shows up to do something meaningful — and we’re committed to bringing you more ways to do that in such a critical year.
