Community to Family Holiday Giving with Christopher House
Project Overview:
Did you know that more than 4,100 low-income individuals are enrolled in Christopher House programs, where the average annual income for a family is less than $19,000? This holiday season, let’s contribute as an 18 Coffees community to help make the holiday season a little brighter for two families of four living in the Belmont Cragin area of Chicago.
How to Help:
As part of the sponsored family holiday program, the 18 Coffees team received notes from two families that included their wish lists of needed items and small gifts, including winter jackets, toys, bedding, diapers, pots and pans. Read through each family’s needs and wish lists below.
Pitch in to contribute to a family’s wish list by December 5!
Online: You can purchase an item from this online gift registry that we created from each family’s wish list. Gifts will be shipped to Robin Kasner to organize and drop off gifts for both families.
Other: Want to shop local? You can purchase any item or gift card you want inspired from their wish lists below. If you’re in Chicago, Robin Kasner can coordinate to pick up any donated gift items from you directly. Please email her at robin@18coffees.com.
The 18 Coffees team will compile all of our Community Partner gifts for the two families, label and drop off by Saturday, December 7 to Christopher House.
