Dusting Off is a special professional development series designed to help you polish your personal brand and provide you with concrete ways to communicate who you are, what you do, and the value you bring. We’ve perfected our bios and rewritten our resumes in previous sessions. Now it’s time to put ourselves out there.
Networking has always been a polarizing thing — people either love to mingle with strangers or absolutely shudder at the thought of an elevator pitch. But now that so much happens online instead of in person, it can be difficult to know how to network most effectively. That’s where networking expert Alyssa Burns comes in. Join us October 5 to learn how to foster meaningful relationships with new people in a remote world.
Featured Speaker:
Alyssa Burns is a writer, connector and advisor. She works with entrepreneurs and small business owners to create powerful content that tells a story, resonates with readers, and increases sales.
Alyssa is also an Adjunct Professor in Loyola University Chicago's Department of Communications, teaching courses like "Business & Professional Speaking," to Quinlan School of Business students. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the University of Michigan Alumni Association, as well as the Professional Women's Club of Chicago (PWCC).
