Client: Faith in Place

Market Research for an Environmental Justice Advocacy Group

Following the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on mission-driven organizations, Faith in Place needed a partner to provide scenario planning and a market feasibility study for expansion.

18 Coffees conducted an analysis of prospective donors and partners, led market research, facilitated stakeholder interviews and delivered strategic recommendations on how to expand the client’s mission into three additional states, ultimately helping to secure board approval for expansion.

Our work included: Market Research, Strategic Planning, Research & Insights

“18 Coffees knocked it out of the park. Our board was very impressed. The team ultimately helped me secure board approval by mapping out different scenarios for our expansion.

It was clear to me that they really believed in our mission, genuinely cared about what we were doing and wanted us to succeed. If I could, I would hire them to be a part of our own team.”

— Brian Sauder, Executive Director at Faith in Place

Our Impact

  • 18 Coffees conducted an analysis of prospective donors and partners, facilitated stakeholder interviews and delivered strategic recommendations on how to expand the client’s mission into three additional states.

The team presented options to the board, and the board ultimately approved the 18 Coffees recommendation to expand into two adjacent states.

  • For each target market, 18 Coffees created a strategic expansion plan that took into consideration the assets and opportunity areas of potential partners in those markets.

The team also created work plans to make implementation of the expansion tangible and efficient.
