Andrew (he/him) is an entrepreneur, engineer, and journalist with a history of work at the intersection of AI, human-centered design, and social progress. He has designed and defined applied AI systems at several startups, and also dabbled in various approaches to human-machine collaboration in pursuit of generative art. He is a thought leader in the future of AI-empowered UX, and is the Chief Science & Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Storyline, a generative AI and data analytics startup creating multi-modal interactive experiences.

Andrew earned his Master of Science in Journalism at the Northwestern Medill School of Journalism, and is a PhD candidate in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University, with a research focus on the reinvention of the human-data interface through the synthesis of various modes of machine learning and symbolic representation for natural language processing, intent-driven data analysis, rich conversational system design, and response generation.
